Organ Pipe National Monument - Go, go, go!

I had a free afternoon in Phoenix recently...and a car...and a desire to see something 'new'...so I heading down to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument (http://www.nps.gov/orpi/). Boy oh boy, it was spectacular. Who knew there was so much beauty in the desert? Not me, that's for sure. It's 150 miles south of Phoenix and sits right on the border with Mexico. I did the Ajo Mountain Drive - it's 23 miles and will take about 2'ish hours...if you take the time to see what's to be seen. Highly recommended.

Bid! Bid! Bid! Early and often!

Great (!) BBQ in Tulsa, OK

If you ever find yourself in Tulsa, OK...and you don't get yourself over the Elmer's (4130 S Peoria Avenue), then you just aren't serious about barbecue. Man. So good...and I highly recommend the Badwich (and make sure you mix the sauces - mild, sweet, and hot).

Hmmm, hmmm, hmmm, good.

Freakonomics

...veering away from just doing cMarket posts:

I just finished Freakonomics by Steven Levitt (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/006073132X/qid=1114279138/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/104-8477230-1495936?v=glance&s=books&n=507846).

Fascinating...a terrific read (and a, unfortunately, short one)...highly recommended.

Memo to myself:

...must blog more. Otherwise, what's the point.

In the market for a new car?

How about this:

1956 RED PORSCHE SPEEDSTER REPLICA

Engine: 4 cylinder Transmission: 4 speed Exterior color: Red Interior color: Tan Miles: 1,400 Welcome to the world of the 356 Speedster. This car is a replica of Porsche's famous Speedster with its low windscreen, exclusive badges, and soft top that stows below the level of the body for a sleek, clean profile. Since Porsche produced fewer than 3,000 speedsters, originals are getting harder to find and their prices are soaring. This replica is a highest-quality manufactured vehicle built to exacting standards using all new or rebuilt components. Cosmetically, it's difficult to tell this car apart from a real one. The interior is fully covered in high quality leather and overall fit and finish is excellent from top to bottom. Enjoy all the fun and style of a classic Speedster in a user-friendly car that is absolutely ready to drive and show!

Special Instructions: Winning bidder is responsible for picking up the car in the Seattle area. Vehicle will not be shipped. Please contact Densho if you would like a copy of the apprisal or additional information.
